Abstract
Erectile dysfunction, a prevalent issue among men today, is characterized by difficulties in
achieving or maintaining a firm erection during sexual activity. While drugs like Viagra (a
phosphodiesterase-5 inhibitor or PDE5) are available, they often come with side effects like
headaches, dizziness, and vision problems. This research aims to identify the the bioactive
compounds in plants traditionally used for treating erectile dysfunction. Phytoconstituents from six plants Cyperus esculentus tubers, Piper guineense leaves and seeds, Spondias mombin leaves and fruit, Tamarindus indica fruit and seeds, Terminalia catappa seeds, and Rauwolfia Vomitoria leaves and roots were obtained from literature and their 2D strructure
data file (SDF) were retreived from PubChem. The phytoconstituents and the stanadards
sildenafil and tadalafil were docked with Phosphodiesterase enzyme (2H42) using PyRx after it
was prepared with chimera. Post docking analysis, Absorption, distribution, metabolism and
excretion (ADME) and toxicity profile were carried out using Biodiscovery studio, swissADME
and admetSAR software respectively. The results showed varying binding affinities of the compounds for PDE5 drug targets
comparable to the standards (≥-9.8 kcal/mol). Most of the hit compounds exhibited potential as
drug leads for use in erectile dysfunction. Lanosterol from Cyperus esculentus, Thujopsene from
Piper guineense, Lupenone from Spondias mombin and Tamarindus indica, while
Spiro[Androst-5-Ene-17,1'-Cyclobutan]-2'-One, 3-Hydroxy-,(3.Beta.,17.Beta.)- for Rauwolfia
vomitoria demonstrated the strongest binding affinity with -11.1, -10.9, -17, -18.9, and -10.9
respectively. Many of the constituents showed good therapeutic potential for the treatment of erectile
dysfunction. However, further studies such as molecular dynamic simulation, in vivo and in vitro
studies need to be carried out to further validate the claim.

Abstract
This study examines biology teachers’ willingness to integrate Information and Communication
Technology (ICT) into their instructional practices, identifying key barriers and enablers to
adoption in secondary schools. A descriptive survey design was employed, with data collected
from thirty (30) biology teachers across schools, using a Likert-scale questionnaire. Findings revealed strong teacher willingness, with high enthusiasm for ICT tools and peer
advocacy. However, systemic challenges particularly unstable electricity, inadequate school
infrastructure, and insufficient training significantly hindered implementation. Teachers
proposed actionable solutions, including regular subject-specific training, dedicated technical
support teams, and biology-focused ICT tools. The study concludes that while biology teachers are predisposed to adopt ICT, transformative
integration requires targeted interventions addressing infrastructure deficits, professional
development, and curricular flexibility. These findings contribute to the Technology Acceptance
Model (TAM) by contextualizing its constructs within resource-constrained educational settings. Recommendations are provided for policymakers, school administrators, and teacher training
programs to bridge the gap between willingness and effective ICT adoption.

Abstract
During the period of rapid spread of the corona virus infection, a large number of infected were
quarantined and otherwise isolated from the general populace. Face to face access to such people
was risky and difficult. Even medical personnel had to take stringent and inconvenient measures
to safeguard themselves, before they could meet physically with such patients. Arising from this,
the aim of this work is to design and construct a telepresence robot that will help to monitor, and
communicate with an isolated person.
The proposed system makes use of a mobile platform driven by four electric motors, with each
driving wheels for precise navigation control. The motors are controlled by an L298N motor
driver. The system also makes use of central microcontroller with WIFI capabilities to establish
connection with a smart phone using the Adafruit IoT (Internet of Things) interface. It also has a
12V lead acid battery for supplying power. The power supplied by this battery is regulated and
stepped down to 5V by an Lm7805 voltage regulator and this voltage regulator supplies power
directly to the micro-controller and the motor driver (or controller)
The system performed as required. The robot successfully connects to the internet and responds to
commands given through the IoT platform. Motors responded correctly to commands, rotated in
the specified direction, and at the desired speed. The motor control system is functioning properly,
and the robot can move as intended. The robot can transmit a clear and stable live video feed with
minimal lag. However, when the internet connection is poor, the video feed becomes blurry,
pixelated, or experiences frequent interruptions

Abstract
The perception of insect pests management methods in rural areas of Badagry Local Government Area, Lagos State, Nigeria, is a critical aspect of sustainable agriculture and community well-being. This abstract provides a concise overview of a study conducted to understand the prevailing attitudes and beliefs of rural farmers towards insect pest management. In rural Badagry, agriculture plays a pivotal role in livelihoods, making insect pests a significant concern. This research employed a mixed-methods approach, combining surveys and interviews to gather data from farmers and agricultural extension officers. The findings reveal a complex perception landscape, where traditional and modern pest management methods coexist. Farmers, deeply rooted in tradition, often rely on indigenous knowledge and cultural practices. However, awareness of modern, science-based pest management approaches is increasing, thanks to the efforts of agricultural extension officers and outreach programs.Challenges such as limited access to resources, information gaps, and economic constraints affect the adoption of modern methods. Attitudes towards chemical pesticides are mixed due to concerns about environmental and health impacts. Furthermore, climate change is altering the pest landscape, necessitating adaptive strategies. This study underscores the importance of bridging the gap between traditional and modern insect pest management practices. It advocates for holistic, context-specific interventions that consider local knowledge while promoting sustainable, science-based approaches. Such initiatives can enhance food security, reduce pesticide risks, and support the resilience of rural communities in Badagry and similar regions.
