Abstract
The earliest vertical gardens extend back 2000 years to the Mediterranean region, and ornamental roof gardens were first created by the civilizations that inhabited the basins of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers (the most famous examples of which were the Hanging Gardens of Babylon in the seventh and eight centuries B. C.). Northern European regions, such as Norway's sod roofs or the Mediterranean basin's climbing plants for shading vertical surfaces, have a number of examples of green roofs and façades dating to the 18th and 19th centuries. To support sustainable construction practises, modern building envelopes also contain cutting-edge materials and other technologies.

Abstract
In this study, screening and selection of Cryptococcus neoformans was conducted using Urease test. Pigeon dropping is known to be a source of this infectious organism. A total of twelve (12) samples from pigeon droppings were collected from three markets in Benin City. All samples were cultured on SDB (Sabouraud Dextrose Broth) and incubated for 24hrs at 37°C. After 24hrs, the isolates were sub-cultured on fresh SDB and incubated for 24hrs. After growth was observed, the isolates were plated on SDA (Sabouraud Dextrose Agar) for identification of the organism. Isolates of the organism obtained from this samples that was sub- cultured were subjected to urease test. Clinical samples collected from UBTH were also subjected to urease test. The results showed that the isolates that were positive for urease tests with highest growth rate at 37°C were recorded for samples x obtained from Oliha market. This experiment shows the possibility of isolating and selecting C. neoformans on urease test

Abstract
This project work will introduced the reader to the concept of metrics (a class of functions which is regarded as generalization of the notion of distance) and metric spaces with examples. It emphasises the notion of vector space which generalizes
the concept of addition and scalar multiplication. The notion of inner product allows us to generalize the notion of the dot product of vectors. It also allows us to talk about angle between vectors, and their norms. We can discuss the notion of distance between vectors. Also the combination of inner product with a vector gives a scalar. An inner product space is a special type of vector space that has mechanism for computing a version of dot product that can be defined in real or complex vector space, as long as it satisfies some conditions. The properties arising from a metric in an inner product space is important example of a metric space

Abstract
Solid wastes are virtually everywhere. They are generated at areas where human activities occur. Such areas include homes, schools, recreational centres, restaurants, markets etc. These areas serve as source of solid waste generation. The waste at these sources, especially in markets are often generated in quantities considered hazardous to public health and aesthetically displeasing. Hence, to protect public health, a systematic method is devised to ensure the control of waste generation. Such
systematic method is generally referred to as Solid Waste Management (SWM). For this study, data was collected by administering questionnaires to the traders in the market. Also the data was also gotten from the waste management authority via oral interview and also administrator of questionnaires. The questionnaires was analysed using statistical package and result gotten. From the study, it was observed that large number of the market trader are unaware of solid waste management practise. The study also reveal that the type of waste generated in urban markets are putrescible and food waste (53.97%), while the least is (3.40%). Landfill was also designed for proper practise of solid waste management.

Abstract
This essay focuses on the offence of rape with respect to the position of the law under the violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act, 2015 which states that the offence of rape has gone beyond only men being capable of committing the offence of rape. The medium through which rape can be committed is the vagina, mouth and anus which is unlike the position of the law under the Criminal Code Act, Child Rights Act, Criminal Laws of Lagos State and the Penal Code which states that the offence of rape could only be committed through penetration of the vagina. Also, section 1(1)(a) of the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act
provides that the penis is not the only instrument of rape. The instruments of rape includes objects, such as, pens, pencils and dildos. This project expands the o fence of rape under the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Act, 2015 and is to the aim that the Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) should be domesticated by every states in Nigeria and the definition of the offence of rape should be amended in various legislations which defines the offence of rape

Abstract
Carbon steel is fundamentally an alloy comprising of iron and carbon, and other alloying elements such as manganese with 1.0% maximum content and silicon with 0.3% maximum content (Onyekpe, 2002). It is the most important steel used in petroleum and chemical industries since it accounts for over 98% of the construction materials. Carbon steels materials are predominantly used for flow lines, transmission pipelines and downhole tubulars in the oil and gas industry, most possibly owing to their low cost (Nesic et al, 2010; Ghareba et al, 2010; Liu et al, 2011; Badr, 2009). For instance, the cost of stainless steels especially that of austenitic steels (AISI 304 & 316) is currently about 8 times greater than that of carbon steels (Panossian et al, 2012; Finsgar et al, 2014). Among the most widely used carbon steel is the medium carbon steel. It is classified on the basis of their carbon content varying from 0.25% to 0.5%. The carbon steel that has been mostly used as the main production material for transmission pipelines, downhole tubulars, and flow lines in the oil and gas industry is API N80 (Walker, 1994; Yadav et al, 2012; Vishwanatham et al, 2008; Zhu et al, 2011), with carbon varying from 0.23% - 0.52%, (Finsgar et al, 2014). However, this material is susceptible to corrosion when used in chloride environment without any form of surface treatment or protection (Seidu and Ketulu, 2013).
