Abstract
The need to fight against corruption in Nigeria led to the promulgation or establishment of Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Act, 2000. The Act wasthe first bill presented by President Olusegun Obasanjo to the National Assembly for consideration at the inception of the present democratic administration in 1999. It was passed and signed into law on the 13th of June, 2000. The Act establishes the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), which is the apex body saddled with the responsibility of fighting corruption and other related offences. In spite of the existence of the Anti-Graft Act, corruption in all spheres of our national existence is still on the increase. This inglorious monster of all embarrassment, which has eaten deep into the fabrics of our society, keeps exposing us to international odium and opprobrium. The established ICPC so far still has a lot to do in the aspect of corruption by the investigations carried out. The commission ahs come to be accepted by the populace and expectations on its activities are high. The commission is guided by the vision of fighting corruption to a 9 standstill and restoring Nigeria to the enviable standard of respectability and dignity within the Comity of Nations. The objective of this study therefore, is to look at the role of ICPC and to see how far this role has been performed. The views of scholars on this subject is reviewed in chapter two, wealsolook at the causes and effects of corruption in the same chapter. Chapter three looked at the stage of data presentation, interpretation and analysis, chi-square (X2) was employed for its effectiveness and near accuracy in social science research. This also followed the research design. It is, however, the findings of this work that corruption in Nigeria may have been encouraged by the level of poor education, poor salary among others that exist in the country. This project may now serve as a reference term to others who maybe doing similar corruption in Nigeria. The researcher recommends that: Workers should be well paid. , A worker’s pay should always reflect the socio-economic situation in the country and Education should be given priority in the government budget. If possible, free education to all levels should be introduced and enforced.

Abstract
The impact of dietary fats on cardiovascular health is of growing concern, particularly in regions where red palm oil is a staple cooking fat. This study investigates the effect of frying an egg with red palm oil on egg cholesterol levels and its influence on the lipid profile and heart histology of Wistar rats. Sixteen female Wistar rats were divided into four dietary groups fried egg with red oil, raw cholesterol, positive control, and negative control. After 42 days, lipid profile analysis on some lipid (total cholesterol and triglyceride) revealed that the fried egg with red oil group had a total cholesterol level of (251.90 ± 2.64 mg/dL), which was significantly lower than the raw cholesterol group (307.63 ± 7.74 mg/dL). Triglyceride levels also varied, with the fried egg group showing (554.19 ± 9.16 mg/dL), compared to (577.09 ± 9.53 mg/dL) in the raw cholesterol group. Histological analysis of the heart tissues showed vascular stenosis and
perivascular infiltration in the fried egg with red oil group, while the raw cholesterol group exhibited mild perivascular fibroblast mobilization. These results indicate that frying eggs in red
palm oil alters lipid metabolism and affects cardiovascular health, potentially modifying cholesterol bioavailability. The study highlights the significance of cooking methods in influencing dietary cholesterol impact and underscores the need for further research on the longterm effects of palm oil consumption on heart health.

Abstract
Anemia is a medical condition in which the concentration of circulating red blood cells is less than 13g/dL for males and 12g/dL for female adults. The leaves of Dennettia tripetala (DT) and Cola acuminata (CA) have been used to manage anemiain adults and children by herbal practitioners. This study compared the anti-anemic effects of Dennettia tripetala and Cola acuminata methanol leaf extracts on phenylhydrazine (PHZ)-induced hemolytic anemia in albino Wistar rats. The study was divided into four phases. In Phase I, nutritional and mineral
composition, qualitative and quantitative phytochemical content, In vitro antioxidant capacity, High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) were carried out in accordance with standard methods. In Phase II, acute and subacute toxicity of each extract was determined. In Phase III, the effect of each extract on biochemical parameters for kidney, liver and splenic functions were ascertained. Histology of bone marrow, kidney, liver and spleen and hematological parameters were also determined. In Phase IV, quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) for mRNA expression levels of IREG, HO-1, DMT-IRE and TFR1 genes in the liver and spleen was determined. Proximate analysis reveal that both leaf extracts contain substantial amounts of proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, fibre and ash, with low moisture content. Minerals present are phosphorus, calcium, sodium, iron, magnesium, zinc, and potassium. Qualitative phytochemical and HPLC analysis reveal appreciable amounts of cardiac glycosides, saponins, alkaloids, terpenoids, coumarins, tannins, phenols, amino acids, and reducing sugars. Steroids were sparingly present, while flavonoids were abundant. GC-MS analysis showed the presence of terpenoids, hydrocarbons and fatty acids. Invitro anti-oxidant analysis indicates that CA scavenged DPPH radical better thanDT. However, DT had a higher total antioxidant capacity than CA. Acute toxicity studies show that both extracts had LD50 values >5,000 mg/kg body weight, with no mortality. Sub-acute toxicity revealed modulation of biochemical and hematological parameters. The effective dose of DT and CA against PHZ toxicity were 1,500 and 500mg/kg body weight, respectively. Administration of DT and CA resulted in significant (p<0.05) improvement of antioxidant status, biochemical indices and hematological parameters when compared with the negative control.

Abstract
Although centralized institutions, like governments, can use blockchain technology to increase the safety and security of sensitive data, this technology also permits the emergence of decentralized business models. The proposal to create a car registration system in Nigeria that can enhance interoperability between governmental agencies and might be expanded to a cross-borders system is described in this project work and is based on the Ethereum blockchain network. The suggested system takes care of all car registration-related procedures, including changing a vehicle's ownership status and registering it. As the car registration information is supplied to each government agency in a single decentralized system, this approach can facilitate information interchange among several states

Abstract
This study examined the relationship between quality customer service and brand perception among commercial bank customers in Benin City, Nigeria. The research focused on four key dimensions of customer service: employee performance, good communication, quick responsiveness, and empathy, assessing their impact on brand perception. A total of 385questionnaires were distributed to customers within the Benin Metropolis, with 380 successfully retrieved and analyzed. The study adopted a quantitative research design, utilizing descriptive statistics and regression analysis to evaluate the data. The findings reveal that employeeper formance, quick responsiveness, and empathy have a significant positive relationship with brand perception, indicating that ef icient service delivery and customer engagement enhance brand perception. However, good communication does not significantly influence brand perception, suggesting that customers may prioritize service ef iciency and personalized interactions over mere information exchange. Based on these findings, the study recommends that commercial banks invest in employee training programs, enhance service responsiveness through technology-driven solutions, and foster a customer-centric approach emphasizing empathy to improve brand perception. Additionally, banks should focus on optimizing service delivery rather than solely improving communication strategies to strengthen their competitive advantage in the banking sector
