Determinants of Effective Leadership Style and Employment Engagement: AnInvestigation on Non-academic Staffs in Management Science, University of Benin.

Abstract
This study investigated the impact of factors of leadership style on the engagement of non- academic staf at the University of Benin yielded. The study targeted a sample of fifty-two(52) respondents, in which a total of 52 questionnaires were distributed and a total of fifty (50) questionnaires was filled, retrieved, cleaned and used for this study. The data collected was analyzed using SPSS version 20.0 and descriptive statistics was used to present the results while regression test was employed to make findings on the research hypotheses. Notably, while economic factors and intended goals both showed a positive correlation with employee engagement, their ef ects were found to be statistically insignificant. In contrast, leaders' communication skills and emotional intelligence emerged as significant drivers of employee engagement. Based on these findings, the following recommendation were made that: the institution’s management should prioritize leadership training on soft skills as doing so would bolster leaders' ability to communicate ef ectively and enhance their emotional understanding and empathy; incentive structures should be redefined by considering a mix of non-tangiblebenefits that might cater to emotional and interpersonal aspects of job satisfaction and engagement; clear and collaborative goals should be set; open communication channels should be fostered in institution; the institution should implement emotional intelligence assessments which can inform recruitment decisions, highlight areas for improvement, and guide personalized training and development interventions; and adoption of continuous feedback loop.

The study examined job satisfaction as motivational tool for increased productivity. Four research objectives were raised to carryout the study, the four specific objectives were to: know what makes job satisfaction a motivation tools for increased productivity; Identify the various tools methods used to measure job satisfaction and the impact on productivity among employees; explore the factors that contribute to employee satisfaction and their potential to drive productivity improvement at work and examine the conditions and workplace factors that lead to employee dissatisfaction, with the goal of identifying areas for productivity enhancement. The research was limited to the selected organization(s) name Nadia enterprise in Benin City, Edo State. The population of this study is made up of all the staff in Nadia Enterprise. The study covers all groups and cadre of staff in the Organization. The population stands at 85 staff in the Organization being composed of professionals and non-professionals. The absence of a sampling technique in the questionnaire administration for this study was attributed to the insufficient staffing levels at Nadia Enterprise. The staff at Nadia Enterprise is relatively small or homogeneous in terms of characteristics relevant to the study, using a sampling technique may not yield substantial benefits. Computed frequency distributions, averages, modes, range and percentages was used to draw inferences on the degree of occurrence of the variables measured within our study sample. It was concluded that a substantial proportion of respondents recognize a positive relationship between job satisfaction and both employee motivation and increased productivity. Furthermore, the majority of participants underscore the pivotal role of recognition and appreciation in enhancing job satisfaction, ultimately leading to improved productivity. Based on the findings and conclusion the researcher then give the necessary recommendations.

This study examines the relationship between workplace diversity and team performance among academic staff of the University of Benin. Workplace diversity, which encompasses differences in gender, age, ethnicity, academic discipline, and professional experience, has become a key factor influencing organizational effectiveness in higher education institutions. The research investigates how these diverse attributes shape collaboration, communication, and productivity within academic teams. Using a descriptive survey design, data will be collected from academic staff across faculties to assess perceptions of diversity and its impact on teamwork outcomes such as innovation, decision-making quality, conflict management, and overall performance. The findings are
expected to reveal whether diversity enhances or constrains team effectiveness in the university context, providing insights into the role of inclusivity in fostering academic excellence. The study contributes to the understanding of diversity management in Nigerian universities and offers practical recommendations for creating an inclusive work environment that maximizes the strengths of diverse academic teams.

Corporate mortality modeling refers to the process of predicting the likelihood of a company in a specific sector going out of business or experiencing financial distress. In the manufacturing sector, understanding and accurately predicting corporate mortality is highly important due to the complex and volatile nature of the industry. This work focuses on the analysis of corporate mortality in the manufacturing sector. The manufacturing sector plays a vital role in the global economy, employing a significant number of individuals and contributing to GDP. However, it also faces numerous challenges, such as intense competition, technological advancements, changing consumer demands, and economic fluctuations. The objective of this study is to develop a robust corporate mortality model specifically designed for the manufacturing sector. The model will incorporate various financial and non-financial factors that may influence the likelihood of a company going out of business. Financial factors such as profitability, liquidity, leverage, and solvency will be considered, along with non-financial factors such as industry dynamics, management quality, and market conditions. Data will be collected from a sample of manufacturing companies over a specific period of observation. This data will be used to build a predictive model using advanced statistical techniques such as logistic regression, survival analysis, and machine learning algorithms. The model will be validated using historical data and tested for its predictive accuracy. The results of this study will provide valuable insights into the factors that contribute to corporate mortality

Using Nadia Enterprise, which is located in Benin City, EdoState, Nigeria as the case study. The specified four research objectives which are to know the Impact of digital transformation adaptation, technological innovation, factors affecting digital transformation in improving organization performance and to suggest ways which organisation can leverage digital technology in improving their operations and remain competitive. The population of this study is made up of all the staf in Nadia Enterprise. The study covers all groups and cadre of staf in the Organization. The population stands at 85 staf in the Organization being composed of professionals and non-professionals. The size for the study on which questionnaires were administered was 85 to the Staf in the organization. They were all selected from dif erent department to generate data about their perceptionsandopinions as regards to customer retention and performance of the organization. Themethodto be employed for this research is the simple statistical method such as thesimplepercentage to deduce the ef ective and interpret the further necessary discussions. In conclusion, the Findings presented provide valuable insights into the impact of digitaltransformation on organisational performance in Nigeria. These findings of er anuancedview of respondents' perceptions, opinions, and challenges related to these critical areas. Overall, the data suggests a widespread recognition of the significance of digital transformation and technological innovation. The majority of respondents acknowledge the importance of these initiatives and the positive impact they can have on organizational per fomance eficiency, and competitiveness.

Abstract
This study investigates the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction in public and private hospitals in Benin City. The objectives of the study were to find out the impact of tangibility of service delivery on patient satisfaction, to investigate the influence of reliability of service delivery on patient satisfaction, to ascertain the effect of responsiveness of service delivery on patient satisfaction; to determine the impact of assurance of service delivery on patient satisfaction and to inspect the effect of empathy of service delivery on patient satisfaction in the Nigerian hospitals.. Respondents were selected from one (1) public and two (2) private hospitals in Benin City Metropolis, Edo State, Nigeria. The data were collected through personal administration of 110 questionnaires and had valid responses. The study also used frequency distribution, mean, standard deviation, t-test statistics analysis, multi regression analysis and tables as major statistical tools for data analysis and test of hypotheses. The analysis revealed that assurance of the service delivery has significant relationship or influence on patient satisfaction in the Nigerian hospitals; tangibility of the service delivery has no significant influence on patient satisfaction, reliability of the service delivery has no significant relationship on patient satisfaction; responsiveness of the service delivery has no significant impact on patient satisfaction and that empathy of the service delivery has no significant impact on patient satisfaction in the Nigerian hospitals

This study sought to determine packaging and under graduates buying behavior on peanuts. Descriptive research was conducted and a purposive sampling technique was used to select one hundred (150) people but 125 was realized. The instrument for the study was the questionnaire. Data collected were analyzed by the use of descriptive statistics. The finding of the study revealed that the undergraduates under study adopted the critique/constructive discussion of the peanuts brands, Furthermore, it revealed that effective package prevents chemical change of the product and that packaging and branding has the best way of increasing profitability. The research recommended that for peanuts to be properly calculated and consumed more, that packaging technologist should be engaged in making packaging decisions, through proper packaging and brand decision, Also, it was recommended that more funds and time should be devoted for packaging and branding.

This study investigated the impact of automated teller machine (ATM) on customers’ satisfaction. The objectives of the study was: to ascertain how Automated Teller Machine (ATM) enhances customer’s satisfaction in Ovia North-East LGA, Benin City; to examine the influence of ATM service quality on customer’s satisfaction in Ovia North-East LGA, Benin City; to examine the influence of ATM proximity on customer’s satisfaction in Ovia North-East LGA, Benin City, and to ascertain the impact of ATM security and privacy on customer’s satisfaction in Ovia North-East LGA, Benin City. The study made use of the cross sectional research design, and questionnaire which was made up of well-framed series of questions related to the research topic was used for data collection. Data was analysed using descriptive statistics and linear regression analysis. The linear regression (ANOVA) analysis was used to test the close relationship between the variables and also tested the hypotheses of the study. The analysis was conducted using the Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS 22) software. Findings from the study revealed that there exist a significant relationship between ATM usage and customers’ satisfaction in Ovia North-East LGA, Benin City; there is a significant relationship between ATM service quality and customers’ satisfaction in Ovia North-East LGA, Benin City; there is a significant relationship between ATM proximity

LIQUIDITY AND PERFORMANCE OF LISTED MANUFACTURING FIRMS IN NIGERIA

This study carried out a research on liquidity and performance of listed manufacturing firms in Nigeria. The population of the study is one hundred & five (105) Manufacturing sampling firms. Four research questions and four hypotheses were stated. Data collection was from Nigeria Stock Exchange through the MachameStat. The data was analyzed in line with the research questions and hypothesis. Descriptive Statistics was conducted; the Pearson correlation coefficient was employed and the panel least squares methods in testing the hypotheses of this study. It was revealed that in research question 0, which implies that we should reject the null hypothesis �0 which state that There Is No Significant Impact of profit after tax margin (PATM) on the Performance Of listed Manufacturing firm In Nigeria. The research question 1, this result suggests that we accept the hypothesis ��1 which states that there is no significant effect of debtor management(DEBT_CA) on the performance/profitability of listed manufacturing firm in Nigeria
