Abstract
Process parameters have been known to determine the quality of weldments in welding operations. Therefore the process parameters have to be manipulated to determine the desirable quality of the weldment. In doing this, the Taguchi method was applied to optimize these process parameters. The response obtained from the welding operation was the Impact strength of the weldments. From using the Taguchi method, it was derived that the optimum process parameters is A3,B1,C3. The analysis of variance was computed to determine the level of contribution of each of the process parameter to the quality level of the weldment.
It was investigated that voltage contributed most having a total of 14.42% of the quality level of the weldment, followed by the welding current, with a value of 7.94% and gas flow rate being the least with a contribution of 2.04%. A confirmation test was carried out to validate the inference that A3,B1,C3 is the optimum process parameters. The signal to noise ratio of the existing process parameters of A2 B3, C1 was determined to be 40.3997dB, whereas, the optimum welding process has a signal to noise ratio of 42.8796 dB. This shows that there is an improvement of 2.4799 dB of the optimum process parameters over the existing one. The Impact Energy of the weldment produced by the welding operation made by using the optimum process parameters has 12 J more than the Impact Energy obtained from the weldment made by using the existing process parameters.
In this study, the Taguchi method was useful in improving the quality of weldment made by applying the optimum process parameters obtained.

Abstract
This study examines the use and style of music incorporation in Nigerian comic movies, with special reference to The Prophetess. The research is motivated by the growing importance of music in Nollywood productions and the need to critically understand how it contributes to storytelling, humour, and cultural representation in comic films. The study specifically investigates the types of music used in The Prophetess, the stylistic approaches adopted in its incorporation, and the functions of music in enhancing narrative development, comedic effect, and audience engagement. The study adopts a qualitative research design, using content analysis as its method of data analysis. The primary source of data is the film The Prophetess, while secondary sources include textbooks, journal articles, and scholarly works on film music, Nollywood, and cultural studies. The analysis focuses on selected scenes in the film, paying attention to how music interacts with visual elements and dialogue to produce meaning. Findings from the study reveal that The Prophetess employs a combination of indigenous music, background scores, and character based musical themes. These musical elements are strategically synchronized with film actions to enhance humour, build suspense, and support narrative flow. The study further shows that music in the film performs emotional, narrative, and cultural functions. It also highlights the effective use of exaggeration and contrast as key stylistic techniques in generating comedic effects. The study concludes that music is not merely an accessory in Nigerian comic films but a central storytelling tool that significantly influences audience perception and enjoyment. It recommends that Nollywood filmmakers pay greater attention to professional sound design and further integrate indigenous musical elements to strengthen cultural identity in film production.

A CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF THE NUANCES OF THE SUPREME COURT DECISION IN HOPE UZODINMA & ANOR V EMEKA IHEDIOHA & ORS. SC/1462/2019 IN ITS MINUTEST DETAIL

Abstract
Nigerian Courts have a constitutional mandate to resolve disputes. In the resolution of disputes, the Courts evaluate issues nominated by the respective parties in light of the facts of the case and extant laws. In reaching its decisions in the case under review, the court considered the legal implication of the evidence of police officers and the tilting of the burden of proof. The Court further considered the quantum and quality of evidence required to meet the standard of proof in civil and criminal proceedings. The court held that the evidence required to discharge the burden of proof in criminal matters is on proof beyond reasonable doubt. However, this does not translate to proving the crime alleged beyond all shades of doubt. In considering these positions of the Supreme Court, this study examines the legal issue of admissibility and validity of completed election result forms given to the police. The study takes the stance that results given to the police are authentic and valid evidence to establish cases of mutilation of scores, over voting and unlawful exclusion of votes. The study finds that exclusion of votes by a Returning Officer is unlawful and an act ultra vires the power of the Returning Officer. The law empowers the Presiding Officer to exclude votes. Any vote excluded by the Returning Officer constitutes unlawful exclusion of votes. The Courts usually countenance votes that were unlawfully excluded; that was the situation in the case under review. The case under review could easily be said to have been fought and won on the law governing burden and standard of proof. The study, in the final analysis, finds that the respondents, especially INEC misconceived the concept and this resulted in the loss of the matter. The respondents did not call witnesses or tender documents to establish their respective positions, even in extreme cases where they raised fundamental issues of law.The decision of the Supreme Court is final. The finality of the decision of the Supreme Court carries with it the effect of infallibility; a status acquired merely by virtue of it being the final court. The Tuesday, January 14, 2020 decision of the Supreme Court followed with it a gale of criticisms. While some of the concerns shared appears justifiable both in principle and at law, the hastiness of the decision which failed to accommodate obvious circumstances at law leaves so much to be desired. That decision for the umpteenth time terminated the tenure of a sitting governor. Whether that decision was right or wrong, is what this paper seeks to determine in detail. The paper considers the justifiability or otherwise of opinions expressed in reaction to the decision and also seeks to examine the relevance of the decision in the light of the recent amended Electoral Act, 2022.
