Abstract
Migration has been at the center of global discourses with Nigeria a much talk- about involved country. Generally, migration whether legal or illegal is a decision that impacts the welfare of households and societies in various ways which might be
positive or negative. To this end, this study examines the effects of youth illegal migration on family members. The study employed the review of literature on the concept of illegal migration and other works so as to understand the effects of illegal migration of youths on familymembers. The population for the study was drawn from Egor, Oredo and Ovia North- East local governments in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. The paper revealed the causes of illegal migration, its effect on the family and the country as a whole and its implication for social work practice. This work made use of questionnaire in collecting data from the study area. In order to curb the issue of youth illegal migration in Nigeria, the researcher recommends that policymakers or legislators, and other stakeholders in government should make provision for infrastructural development, better social welfare policy and programmes, and economic succor. Also, social workers should be included in the mainstream of decision making body to help in the formulation and implementation of favourable policies and programmes to address the issue of poverty, insecurity and other precipitating factors causing youths to migrate illegall

Abstract
This study looks at the variables influencing students' behavior in the creative and cultural arts. Staff members from chosen secondary schools in the Oredo local government of Edo state make up the study's total population. Questionnaires were utilized by the researcher as the instrument for gathering data. The study's research design was a descriptive survey. The survey used a total of 50 respondents, including principals, vice principals, administration, senior employees, and junior staff. Simple percentages and frequencies were used to assess the tables of data collected. For ease of understanding, this research paper is divided into five chapters, as follows: The first chapter is devoted to the introduction, which includes an overview of the study, its historical context, explanation of the problem, study objectives, research hypotheses, relevance of the study, its scope and limitations, definition of words, and its historical context. The review of related literature is highlighted in Chapter 2 in order to provide the theoretical foundation for the study. The third chapter covers the study's methodology and research strategy. The gathering, processing, and presentation of data are the main topics of Chapter 4. Chapter 5 provides a summary, conclusion, and study recommendations.

THE PREVALENCE OF OVERWEIGHT AND OBESITY AMONG SENIOR SECONDARY STUDENTS IN OREDO LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA

This study was designed to survey the prevalence of overweight and obesity in Oredo Local Government in Benin city, Edo state. A descriptive survey research design was used to obtain data. The instrument used to elicit information was the structured questionnaire. Two hundred questionnaires were administered and all were retrieved. The purposes of the study were:
- To determine if parental socio-economic status influences the prevalence of overweight and obesity.
- To determine if gender (sex) influences the prevalence ofoverweight and obesity. - To determine if physical activities influences the prevalence
of overweight and obesity. - To determine if eating behavior of adolescents influences the prevalence of overweight and obesity. Analysis and interpretation of data revealed that parental socio-economic status influences the prevalence of overweight and obesity. It revealed that the male genders were more
overweight or obese. It also revealed that physical inactivity and high consumption of energy dense food contributes significantly to the prevalence of overweight and obesity. The researcher therefore recommends that Nutrition education should be included as a relevant topic in the secondary school curriculum. There is a difference in term of gender with the male having higher prevalence, a multi-disciplinary approach including low fat diet, behavior modification and exercise is recommended.

The study examined the relationship between quality assurance and internal efficiency of primary school teachers in Oredo Local Government Area Edo State. The study was a descriptive research design of the survey type. The study population This study involves the
assessment of internal quality assurance practices in school the population of the study was a total eight six (86) Primary school in the 3 zones in Oredo Local Government Area Edo State The sample of this study comprised of one hundred (100) teachers drawn from five (5) Primary school from each of the 3 zone in Oredo LGA of the Benin metropolis, using the simple random sampling technique. All members were drawn randomly at the various zone where the
respondents were approached for participation in the study. It was also revealed that there was significant difference in the quality assurance measures provided in rural and urban schools. It
was concluded on the basis of the findings of the study that quality assurance is an essential variable of primary school teachers’ internal efficiency. It was therefore recommended that supervising agencies of primary education should closely monitor teachers’ activities, especially those in the rural areas in order to boost their internal efficiency. It was also recommended that workshop and conferences should regularly be organized for primary school administrators, most especially those in the rural areas on the various ways through which their teachers’ activities could be monitored in order to actualize school goals

The study investigated the Factors influencing women’s participation in literacy programme in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State. Four research questions were raised to guide the study. The questions bothered on extent at which social factors influence women participation in adult literacy programme, extent at which Economic factors influence women participa tion in adult literacy programme, extent at which Psychological factors influence women participation in adult literacy programme and the factors militating against effective women’s participation in adult literacy programme in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State. A descriptive research design was employed in carrying out the study. The population of the study consist of all registered adults female learners in adult literacy programme in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State. The estimated population was 122 (Fieldwork, 2021). An instrument titled “Factors influencing women’s participation in literacy programme in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State” was used for data collection. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics like simple percentage and frequency count. The findings revealed that there are various social factors influence women participation in adult literacy programme in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State. Also, it revealed there are various factors militating against effective women’s participation in adult literacy programme in Oredo Local Government Area of EdoState. Based on the study it was concluded that the greatest education factors motivating women’s participation in literacy programme are obtaining certificate for a better job, becoming literate, and improvement on communicative skills. In line with the findings, the following recommendations were made: Enlightenment campaign on the importance of women education should be encouraged. Also, Gender discrimination should be discharge so that women can contribute in the development of the community and the nation at large
