Abstract
This study investigates the UNIBEN undergraduates exposure and responsiveness to PiggyVest's targeted online advertising. In an increasingly digital world, online financial services like PiggyVest have become popular, especially among young people. This
research aims to understand the level of awareness and engagement of UNIBEN students with PiggyVest's marketing campaigns. Specifically, the study seeks to: determine the extent to which UNIBEN undergraduates are exposed to PiggyVest's online advertisements, evaluate the effectiveness of these advertisements in influencing their financial behavior, and identify the factors that influence their responsiveness to the platform's marketing messages. A quantitative research design was employed, utilizing a survey to collect data from a sample of UNIBEN undergraduates. The data was analyzed using summary and analytics statistics to determine the relationship between exposure to targeted online advertising and the responsiveness of the students. The researcher therefore, conclude that online advertisement should be utilized more in creating awareness about products or services. Thus, the researcher recommended that piggyvest company should continue to use online advertising to create awareness for their services

THE PLACE OF STORYTELLING IN ẸDO LANGUAGE DOCUMENTATION AND PRESERVATION

Abstract
This study aimed to investigate the place of storytelling in Ẹdo language documentation and preservation by assessing the significance of these storytellings in the language, examining the role of these stories in the maintenance and revitalization of the language in contemporary society, and to explore the influence of modern technologies and media platforms on the practice of storytelling and language documentation in the language. The research relied on data gotten from primary source. Interviews and storytelling sessions were conducted with elders, storytellers, and community members in Ẹdo-speaking areas in Benin City, specifically around Ovia North-East Local Government Area. The stories were first written in Ẹdo before been translated to English. The theoretical framework used for the analysis of this research was the Ethnography of Communication (SPEAKING MODEL) by Hymes (1964). The findings revealed that storytelling plays a significant role in documenting the Ẹdo language. Through oral traditions, stories serve as a repository for linguistic and cultural knowledge, preserving key expressions, idioms, and customs. It allows the language to be passed down from one generation to the next, ensuring its continuity. Storytelling also contributes to the maintenance and revitalization of the Ẹdo language in contemporary society. It helps keep the language alive by providing an engaging way to learn and practice it, especially in a time when modern languages and technologies are often prioritized.

This study focuses on Creation Myths and its Cultural Significance among the Gbagyi People of Abuja, Nigeria. The Gbagyi people, an indigenous ethnic group in Abuja, have a rich cultural heritage that is deeply rooted in their creation myths. These myths, which
have been passed down through generations provide a fascinating insight into the Gbagyi people's understanding of the world and shaping the community's values, traditions and worldview. Explaining the creation of the world, origin of humanity, the roles of gods and goddesses in shaping the universe. These myths served as integral parts of the Gbagyis culture, and often have been used to teach moral lessons, explain natural phenomena, and provide guidance on how to live in harmony with each other and the environment. The study employs both historical, phenomenological and personal interview. Part of the findings is that the Gbagyi creation myths emphasizes the importance of living in
harmony with the environment and taking care of their natural resources but truncated by urbanization and globalization through the neglects if traditional practices that promotes spirituality

This paper presents a comparative analysis of traditional and contemporary Nigerian dance forms, examining their evolution, characteristics, and cultural significance. The study delves into the historical roots of traditional Nigerian dances, exploring how they have been preserved and adapted over time. Additionally, it investigates the emergence and development of contemporary Nigerian dance, highlighting its fusion of traditional elements with modern influences. Through a combination of literature review, observation, and interviews with dancers and scholars, this research aims to shed light on the similarities, differences, and transformative processes between traditional and contemporary Nigerian dance. The findings of this study contribute to a deeper understanding of Nigerian cultural heritage and its dynamic expression through dance forms, while also providing insights into the broader discourse of cultural preservation and innovation in dance.

This study investigates the phonological processes in the Ika Language with the aim of unraveling the systematic patterns of sound changes and variations that occur during speech production. The primary objective of this research is to identify and categorize these phonological processes, thereby gaining deeper insights into the underlying sound system of the Ika Language. Additionally, the study explores the role of phonological processes in loanword formation and examines the impact of loanwords on the phonological system of the Ika Language. Understanding the phonological processes that occur in a language is crucial for comprehending the organization and usage of sounds within that language. By analyzing these processes in the Ika Language, this research contributes to our overall understanding of how sound systems are structured in human languages. Moreover, the findings from this study can have practical implications for language preservation and teaching by providing important insights into the phonological aspects of the Ika Language. To achieve these research objectives, a comprehensive methodology involving data collection from native speakers will be employed. The collected data will be then meticulously transcribed phonetically to enable accurate analysis and interpretation of the sound patterns and variations within the Ika Language. The practical significance of this research lies in its potential application to various domains such as language documentation, revitalization efforts, and the development of teaching materials for the Ika Language. Furthermore, the insights gained from this study may contribute tothe broader field of linguistics by enriching our understanding of phonological processes and their effects on language evolution and change.

Nigeria and China, two populous nations with rich histories, have developed a multifaceted and unique relationship over the years. Nigeria, located in West Africa, gained independence from British colonial rule in 1960, while China, situated in East Asia, underwent significant political and social transformations throughout the 20th century. Early commerce interactions, cultural exchanges, and joint resistance to imperialism and colonialism had roles in the development of their relationship.1 Chinese explorers of maritime routes and contacts with local populations along the West African Coast helped establish China’s foothold in West Africa centuries ago. These early exchanges involved the sharing of cultural influences, ideas, and commodities With its numerous resources and advantageous location, Nigeria significantly contributed to the facilitation of these economic links.

This research paper examines the perception of sexual identity of queer characters as presented in Chinelo Okparanta and Akwaeke Emezi’s novels, in order to show how queerness is portrayed in these texts. This essay covers two novels, one from each author. This essay adopts Chinelo Okparanta’s Under the Udala trees and Akwaeke Emezi’s Death of Vivek Oji. The research
methodology adopted in this research is the qualitative form of research. That is, the aforementioned texts have been critically analysed and studied to draw instances of queer perception and sexual identity as portrayed by the authors in the texts. The theory adopted in this
research is queer theory, it is the most suitable theory because it best explains the subject matter of queerness as portrayed in the texts. This essay demonstrates that queer characters identities are shaped by social, religious and alternate perceptions in Chinelo Okparanta’s Under the Udala trees and Akwaeke Emezi’s The Death Of Vivek Oji.
