Abstract
This study investigated the persistent challenges associated withlearning Literature in English in Senior Secondary Schools, with a focus on identifying the key factors that hinder students’ interest, comprehension, and overall performance in the subject. Despite the central role of Literature in fostering critical thinking, cultural awareness, and language proficiency, many students continue to demonstrate poor engagement and low achievement. This research therefore examined a range of contributory issues, including students’ attitudes, students’ interest and instructional methods, the availability and suitability of learning materials, and broader environmental and administrative constraints. A descriptive survey research design was adopted, and data were collected from students across selected Senior Secondary Schools. A structured questionnaire was used to obtain reliable insights into the experiences and perceptions of the participants. Data gathered were analyzed using qualitative method to identify dominant themes and patterns. Findings revealed that major obstacles to effective learning of Literature in English include insufficient exposure to literary texts, students’ perception of the subject as difficult or irrelevant, inadequate teacher expertise, and limited use of engaging or interactive teaching strategies. Other notable challenges include overcrowded classrooms, limited time allocated to the subject, and poor access to recommended textbooks. The study also found that socio-cultural factors and a lack of reading culture negatively affect students’ motivation and ability to appreciate literary works. Based on these findings, the study recommended the provision of instructional materials, encourage positive student attitude towards Literature in English, schools should create opportunity such as reading clubs, literary competitions and drama activities to foster motivation and engagement with the subject, enhance the school learning environment and classes should be well structured and conducive for learning. The study concluded that addressing these challenges holistically will significantly enhance the teaching and learning of Literature in English in Senior Secondary Schools.

Abstract
This research seeks to explore the problems associated with the teaching of Fine and Applied arts in junior secondary school in Oredo local Government Benin city. Considering the importance of fine arts to a person, and even the nation, it becomes important that fine arts be integrated into our curriculum. As Fine art is a useful subject to the wholeness of Man, little attention is given to the teaching and learning of the subjects in our Secondary Schools. The methodology employed is that of survey whereby the students and teacher representative were interviewed in different secondary schools. This research found out that there is a high negligence of provision of art materials for the students in studying and exploring art. These findings will be beneficial by encouraging the schools and even down to government in restoring and conserve its neglected art for posterity sake – as failure of necessary and fundamental materials, and also lack of interest of the students. The study recommends the adequate provision of art materials be made to include what is essential for its sustenance and exploration.

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the student’s perception of problems militating against effective the learning English language in public secondary school in Oredo educational zone. The design adopted was the descriptive survey research design. The population of the study comprised of 13 public schools in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo state, with the total population of 2626,785 students. Simple random technique was adopted with a total number of 250 students. The research instruments used for the study was a questionnaire. The questionnaire was divided into two sections. "Section A" was designed to generate personal information of the respondents. While the "Section B" comprises of items on the topic under research. It was constructed to reflect the problem of the study such that the items would be relevant to the purpose of the study. The instrument was reviewed and certified by the project supervisor and two (2) other lecturers in the Department of Educational Foundation. Faculty of Education in University of Benin. Data collected ware analyzed using "test re-test" method for the study. The findings of the study revealed that students they lack concentration in English language because of mother tongue interference; They also the lack qualified teachers; They are influenced by the home background which affects their English language learning; They lack proper classroom and also without classroom necessity and amenities. It was recommended that Students are to take their academic seriously, avoid bad companies, engage actively in class, struggle to assuage the effects of factors they cannot control such as poor background by way of determining to learn and be successful.

Abstract
Numerical methods for solving initial and boundary value problems play a crucial role in various fields of science and engineering. The objective of this project is to present a numerical iterative method for solving initial and boundary value problems to ordinary differential equations . This iterative method is based on the use of the Euler's method and the finite difference method (FDM) in solving initial and boundary value problems respectively. The project begins with a comprehensive literature review on numerical methods for solving IVPs and BVPs, emphasizing the theoretical foundations and practical applications of Euler's and
Finite difference methods. The mathematical formulations and algorithmic procedures of both methods are discussed in detail, highlighting their similarities, and differences. Furthermore, the Euler's method and the finite difference method enables us to approximate the solutions of an ordinary differential equation at a given initial value problem and boundary value problem respectively.
Indeed, two numerical examples are provided to illustrate the effectiv
ness of the Euler's and Finite difference methods. Results obtained show that the numerical method is very effective and convenient for solving ordinary differential equations with initial and boundary value
problems.
