Abstract
The Niger Delta is a complex and dynamic sedimentary basin located offshore Nigeria. The Delta Field within this region has been a significant hydrocarbon producer. Understanding the sequence stratigraphy of this area is crucial for exploration and production activities. This study aims to analyze the stratigraphic framework, depositional environments, and sequence architecture of the Delta Field using well logs, seismic data, and core samples. By integrating these data, we aim to identify the key stratigraphic units, depositional sequences, and their correlation across the field. This research will provide valuable insights into the geological history and hydrocarbon potential of the Niger Delta, aiding in future exploration and reservoir characterization efforts

Abstract
This study investigated the impact of monetary policy on the growth of small and medium scale enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria, with a focus on determining the dynamic responses of each policy on SMEs growth in Nigeria. The model employed in this study is the Autoregressive Distributed lag model (ARDL model) due to the distinction in order of integration. The time frame for this study spanned the years 1981-2019. The study found that money supply has a positive and significant impact on growth of
SMEs at the 5% level of significance, as well as inflation and interest having a negative but significant impact, while exchange plays out not to be a significant factor determining the growth of SMEs. The implication is that the interplay of these variables is important to keep SMEs alive in Nigeria. In response to the dynamics of domestic and global economic events, the policy suggestion is that monetary policy should be designed in such a way that the goal it seeks to attain is clearly and transparently specified. Also, there is a need for a consistent monetary policy framework that should bring about a realistic exchange rate with emphasis on its role to directly promote output and productivity of the SMEs. Exchange rate measures should be considered as a long-term solution to the problem of rising foreign products demand.

EFFECT OF HEAT ON ASCORBIC ACID CONTENT OF SOME LOCALLY SOURCED FRUITS (MANGO, TANGERINE, LEMON AND GRAPE)

Year of Publication

Abstract
Ascorbic acid plays a critical role in various metabolic activities such as the absorption of iron from nonheme products and negates the formation of reactive oxygen, a major product responsible for oxidative stress and recent studies has shown that it is thermally labile. The effect of heat on its content in fruit juices has been successfully investigated. Fresh fruit samples were obtained from New Benin market and the juice extracts were obtained using mechanical press after which temperatures of 40,
60, 80, and 100°C were applied and the ascorbic acid contents of the fresh juice extracts and after treatment were determined using iodimetry at interval of 24 hours for five days. From the results obtained, the ascorbic acid content was found highest for
mango juice extract with a value of 11.40mg. The values obtained for grape, lemon, and tangerine are 10.42, 5.86, and 4.98mg respectively. From the values, it was obvious that heating played a major role in the ascorbic acid content of the extracts. This was demonstrated by plotting the contents in mg as functions of time from where it was seen that Lemon fruit juice had the highest correlation coefficient of 0.9918 at 60°C while the least was found for grape fruit juice at 40 and 80°C with a value of 0.9205.

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine how Nollywood Films can be used to promote 'Family Values'. Nigeria, as we know it is a country blessed with diverse culture. Whatever be the differences, there are societal norms and values that are generally acceptable by everyone. This study shows how Nollywood films have assumed an important role as part of every family in Nigeria. In today's society, people tend to pick up different traits from what they see in movies and it is against this backdrop, that the researcher, adopts the historical, descriptive and analytical approaches as the method of reflecting on how the video films in Nigeria affect and influence its viewers, either positively or negatively. The work has shown that most Nigerian Home Videos do not portray any traditional African values and that the movies do not safeguard traditional African values like honesty, hospitability, modesty etc. There is too much display of immorality (Nudity, prostitution etc) and other negative vices in the Home movies. To portray how Nollywood films can be used in promoting family values, a sample of three films were collected and carefully analyzed, noting relevant points as portrayed in the Films. It concludes by canvassing the government and other stakeholders in movie production to look into the potential of the Nollywood film industry in redressing contemporary social challenges and promoting cultural norms and values.

INVESTIGATING THE REALITY OF RULE OF LAW IN NIGERIA: THE EXECUTIVE’S EXTRAORDINARY POWER OVER THE JUDICIARY IN VIEW

Year of Publication
Publication Type
Abstract
The concept of the 'Rule of Law' simply means accountability to the provisions of the law - a state of affairs in governance, in which the law holds sway to the letter, no matter whose ox is gored. In a state where the Rule of Law prevails, the application of the law and its principles in the administration of that state, is effected without recourse to creed, tribe, gender, religion, personal desires or status amongst other things. What matters without more, is the law and Justice. Kingdoms. and states have risen and fallen partly or totally due to the concept of the rule of law. If one looks at history through the eyes of circumspection, one can almost see mankind’s endless battle with chaos and anarchy. A frenzied scramble to infuse order starting from the family to communities and then to larger aggregates of people. Where man’s toil in this direction has failed, anarchy has sprung forth, wars have happened, taking lives and breaking once vibrant states into smaller units or something else entirely. Time has taught us that in the administration of a State, the most useful tool in maintaining the Rule of Law, does not reside exactly in the letters of the Law but in the application of the law. Laws may be vibrant and beautifully couched; properly delimiting roles and actions in a society but if these laws are not applied or properly applied, the letters on paper begin tending towards worthlessness. As Nigeria is the focus of this essay, the pertinent question is whether the administration of government in this country is compliant with the rule of law? Is it? The application of this concept in Nigeria can be likened to a cruise through a pothole-filled street. Again and again, more abrasions on the Rule of Law happen, some, leaving people utterly shocked and wondering desperately how worse the next one is going to be. Certain acts most times by the executive, leave much to be desired and leave Nigerians with the feeling that we are in an authoritarian State. The aim of this essay is to examine the application of the Rule of Law in Nigeria and prescribe cures where needed. To successfully achieve this, a foray will first be undertaken into the meaning and origin of the Rule of Law, thereafter, this writer will examine the perceptions of scholars and pundits on the concept, from here, the Rule of Law will be examined in line with auxiliary concepts after which the firmness of the Rule of Law from a xiv legal standpoint will be examined in Nigeria. While doing this, reference will be made to other states and events within and outside Nigeria to not only help achieve a clean grasp of the issues surrounding the rule of law in Nigeria but also provide time tested solutions to them
