Abstract
The safety and microbiological quality of ready-to-eat (RTE) foods are essential to ensuring public health, particularly in institutional environments such as universities, where large populations rely on convenient food options. This study evaluated the bacteriological quality of selected RTE foods sold in restaurants within the University of Benin, Edo State, Nigeria. Food samples analyzed over two weeks included Moi Moi (Bean Pudding), Fried Rice, White Rice, Egusi Soup, and Yam and Plantain Sauce. The Total Viable Bacterial Count (TVC) of the food samples ranged from 2.3 ± 0.30 × 10⁵ cfu/g to 5.1 ± 0.28 × 10⁵ cfu/g in Week 1 and 2.1 ± 0.18 × 10⁵ cfu/g to 4.7 ± 0.30 × 10⁵ cfu/g in Week 2, indicating a significant microbial load that could pose potential health risks. Cultural, morphological, and biochemical analyses were conducted to identify the bacterial contaminants in the food samples. The bacterial isolates identified included Escherichia coli, Bacillus sp., Proteus sp., Citrobacter sp., Staphylococcus sp., and Enterobacter sp. Among these, Staphylococcus sp. was the most prevalent, with the highest percentage occurrence across all food samples. Antibiotic susceptibility testing was performed on the isolates using a panel of commonly used antibiotics, including Cefotaxime, Ampicillin, Ofloxacin, Cefixime, Gentamicin, Levofloxacin, Cefuroxime, Imipenem, Nitrofurantoin, and Nalidixic Acid. The results showed varying levels of resistance and susceptibility, with certain isolates exhibiting multidrug resistance.

Abstract
This project assessed the influence of comedy skit as a therapeutic aid among students of the University of Benin. The survey design was adopted for the study with the aid of an 7-item questionnaire administered to 100 respondents purposively selected from the various faculty that makes up University of Benin. Data obtained were analyzed and presented with the aid of Frequency Tables, simple percentages, and Mean Scores. Based on the findings, the researcher concludes that comedy skits are valued for their role in providing entertainment, enhancing moods, offering stress relief, and fostering positive social interactions. The researcher therefore recommends among others that UNIBEN students continue to embrace and enjoy comedy skits for their positive contributions to social interactions, mood elevation, entertainment, and stress relief.

Abstract
This study surveyed the diversity, abundance, and distribution of ornamental plants within the University of Benin (UNIBEN), Edo State, Nigeria. Five sites were selected for the assessment they were Main Gate (Site A), Edaiken Road (Site B), Vice Chancellor’s Office (Site C), Medical Complex (Site D), and Anatomy Back Gate (Site E). A line transect method was adopted, and plant species occurring along each transect were identified, counted, and recorded. Diversity was
evaluated using the Shannon–Wiener diversity index (H′) and Evenness index (J). Results revealed variations in vegetation composition and diversity across the sites. Site A (Main Gate) had the
highest number of individuals (63) and moderate diversity (H′ = 1.217), dominated by Duranta erecta. Site B (Edaiken Road) recorded the lowest richness (two species) and diversity (H′ = 0.694), while Site C (Vice Chancellor’s Office) was strongly dominated by Ixora coccinea
(80.33%), resulting in the lowest diversity (H′ = 0.666). Site D (Medical Complex) exhibited the highest diversity (H′ = 1.368) and evenness (J = 0.764), indicating a well-balanced vegetation structure, while Site E (Anatomy Back Gate) showed moderate richness (H′ = 1.220). Overall,
findings showed that ornamental plant diversity in UNIBEN varied widely among sites, influenced by species dominance, planting design, and maintenance intensity. The Medical Complex emerged
as the most ecologically balanced site, while the Vice Chancellor’s Office was the least diverse.
The study concludes that ornamental diversity within the university can be improved through deliberate introduction of more indigenous and underutilized species, adoption of mixed planting strategies, and sustainable landscape management to promote ecological stability and enhance aesthetic value

Abstract
This study was carried out to access influence of networking role on
entrepreneurial success of fine and applied art students in University of Benin, Edo State. This study adopted a survey research design. A population of 248 fine art students in the Department of Vocational and Technical Education was selected. The researcher constructed a questionnaire title networking role on entrepreneurial success required by
fine art student in the University of Benin for employment creation and self-reliance. The respondents out of the 249 distributed 199 were retrieved. Four research questions were examined while mean and standard deviation was used to analyze the data retrieved from the respondents. Findings revealed that Fine Art students require networking role in entrepreneurial success for the teaching and learning for self-reliance and employment creation. It was recommended among other that effort should be made by management to ensure that career development programme be instituted in order to encourage employable skills, acquired in fine art program to become job creators upon graduation
