Abstract
Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is often seen as a driver of economic development, bringing capital, technology, and expertise to various sectors, including healthcare. However, its impact on health expenditure in Nigeria remains unclear. This study examines the relationship between FDI and health expenditure in Nigeria using secondary time-series data from 1990 to
2023, sourced from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).The dependency theory forms the theoretical framework of the study. The Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) and the Fully Modified Ordinary Least Square regression method was employed to assess whether FDI significantly influences health expenditure while accounting for economic growth and government expenditure. The findings reveal that while FDI shows a positive relationship with health expenditure, its impact is statistically insignificant. In contrast, economic growth significantly contributes to increased health spending, highlighting its crucial role in healthcare financing. Interestingly, government expenditure on health appears to have a negative effect, raising concerns about inefficiencies in public healthcare
investment. Additionally, due to data limitations, the study could not fully assess FDI’s impact on healthcare accessibility, quality, and private sector investment, leaving room for further investigation.

Abstract
This study looks at how delegation affects service delivery in Ikpoba Okha Local Government Area (LGA) in Edo State, Nigeria. Delegation is a crucial management concept that entails the transfer of authority and responsibility from one person or level to another. The study's findings indicate that delegation improves service delivery in Ikpoba Okha LGA by increasing efficiency, creasing accountability, and improving communication. However, it also shows that insufficient training and unclear guidelines are two major obstacles to effective delegation in the LGA. The report proposes that the council provide regular training for officials, develop clear delegation procedures, and monitor and evaluate the performance of officials who have been allocated responsibility.
The findings show that, while delegation can improve service delivery by empowering lower-level officials and encouraging community engagement, obstacles such as poor training, restricted resources, and a lack of clear communication prevent it from reaching its full potential. The paper concludes with recommendations for strengthening delegation mechanisms aimed at improving service delivery outcomes in local government contexts, therefore contributing to the overarching aims of good governance and public service excellence.

The study recommended that it is necessary for the government to create employment in order to reduce crime rate in the state, and Nigeria as a whole, it is important for the Nigerian government to look into the negative impact of poverty on youth vulnerability to crimes in Benin City, and Nigeria as a whole, and proffer possible solution to the issue of socio-economic marginalization, the Nigerian government should provide employment for the youths in order to discourage them from hostile habits and encourage them to be good citizens, it is important for the government to invest more on the education sector to improve efficiency; and role of the media in reporting violence is very crucial in curtailing the act of violence in Nigeria. The media shall transform crime and violence coverage to the plain of the authority. The media reporters shall engage in both mental and psychological re-conditioning. The reporter must critically re-examine the routine, conventional approach to coverage of crime and violence in favour of treating crime and violence stories as he will normally treat stories about an epidemic. In practical terms, demands that the reporter to include three classes of information in crime and violence stories (the perspectives or prevalence of the violence in Nigeria; the risk factors that expose people to victimization; and the cost of the violence in our midst). This is important since the media play roles in the structuring of perception of violence and conflict to community and authority by regular reflection on related incidences and suggesting way forward.
