Abstract
The purpose of this research study is to examine social work intervention with women experiencing intimate partner violence in Ogbe community in Oredo Local GovernmentArea. Three research questions and three research hypotheses guided the study. Toachieve this, the questionnaire survey research design was adopted. The study focused on four areas in Oredo Local Government Area which includes: Oba place, Samuel Ogbemuida stadium, Ring road and Plymouth road hence, population consists of 100. Aclosed ended Questionnaire type was use, tittle: social work intervention with women experiencing intimate partner violence was used to collect data from the participants. The descriptive statistics of frequency counts and percentage were used to analyze the demographic data and questionnaire. Research findings showed that intimate partner violence has a great effect on women in Ogbe community in Oredo Local Government Area, which has in turn led to their poor performance. To this end, the researcher recommended that strategies should be put in place for improving women knowledge such as social workers should put in counseling programs for women who has experienced intimate partner violence and also programs for their partner to prevent intimate violence and lastly, social worker through the government should implement policies to reduce the incidence of intimate partner violence.

Abstract
This study examines the role of social workers in HIV/AIDS prevention and control in University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH). Other objectives are to find out the role of the social workers in the control of HIV aids in University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), to assess the capacity of University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) to control HIV/AIDS, to find out what should be done to halt the spread of HIV/AIDS in university of Benin Teaching hospital (UBTH) The instrument adopted for data collection in this study is the structure questionnaires and was administered only to literate people. The sample size of this study is 50 respondents The primary data collected was analyzed using statistical analysis tools. Coding was done in Microsoft Excel 2010 while the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) was used. Tables were used for easy presentation of results, simple percentage was used to analyze the results obtained from the questionnaires distributed while cross-sectional method was used to test the relationship between social worker role and HIV/AID prevention in UBTH. The finding showed that social workers has play their role by advising, making sure that those HIV patient do not go to the public place and creating awareness in the control of HIV/AIDS in University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), by advising both patient and employee at UBTH and creating awareness to every individual. Both employee and non employee at UBTH are nowaware of the way to control HIV, how to prevent and how it can be treated, it was also reviewed that with the role of social workers at UBTH the level of HIV/AIDS patient at UBTH has reduce, respondent also reviewed that if individual should be advised to avoid misusing drug which can lead to engaging in certain behaviour that may increase chances of contracting or transmitting HIV and if sharing of needles for shooting DRUGS, piercings or tattoos is avoided, the level of HIV spreading will reduce.

This research investigated Impact of divorce on children's educational pursuit in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State. The purpose of this study is to identify the impact of divorce on child educational pursuit in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo state, to assess the relationship between the identified impact of divorce and child educational pursuit in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State and to suggest the effective ways of dealing with child educational pursuit on divorce in Oredo Local Government Area, Edo state. A descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. comprised of (3) selected public secondary School which comprised of Ogbe Secondary School, Akenzua Secondary School and Ihogbe Secondary School all in Oredo Local Government Area, of Edo State. The sampling techniques used for the study was total of (150) students enumeration sampling Technique. The study further recommends that there should be intensify efforts in the prevention of parental divorce through policies and conducive environment that foster marital stability. Proper Education on the need for successful marital life: Children from broken homes should be given proper education as to the need of having a proper and successful marriage devoid of divorce. This will help them not to see divorce as an option but an abnormally to be avoided. Affirmation of Parental Love: Parents (whether as single parent or not) should constantly affirm their love to their children. It may mean, the children spending quality time with both parents (though both are residing separately). Adequate Provision to carter for children’s welfare: Where eradication of divorce is not possible, parents should make adequate plans to take care of the psychological, emotional and economic needs of their children. Plans for the education of the children should be adequately made to avoid the children from becoming dropouts in school. This should also include plans for other financial needs of the children

Abstract
This study examined factors responsible for child abuse and neglect by parents in Egor Local Government Area, Edo State, with detailed objectives that identify the factors that are responsible for child abuse and neglect among parents; determine the consequences of child abuse and neglect in Egor Local Government Area of Edo State and examine the factors that protect a child from risk of abuse or neglect in the study area. The study population for the research comprised individuals residing in Egor Local Government Area, which has a total population of over five hundred and two thousand, seven hundred (502,700) people (Citypopulation.de, 2022). To select a representative sample, a stratified random sampling method was employed, and 150 respondents was chosen from the population of Egor Local Government Area in Edo State. The method employed for the research was the simple statistical method such as the simple percentage to deduce the effective and interpret the further necessary discussions. When data are collected and put in numerical form they do not seem meaningful until they are summarized in tables, percentages grouped into frequencies and so on. The findings note a level of awareness and recognition of the factors contributing to child abuse and neglect, the consequences of such maltreatment, and the importance of preventive measures. However, there is some diversity in perspectives, particularly in terms of preventive strategies, highlighting the need for comprehensive awareness campaigns and community education. The findings underscore the importance of continued efforts to prevent child abuse and protect children in the study area.
