This study examines the issues of teaching and learning Ethical Hacking and Cyber- Security in Edo state telecommunication industries. Specifically, this study intricately examines the challenges faced in the complete learning of the said field. Four research questions were raised and these questions were hypothesized. The population of this study comprises of 5 institutions divided into seven groups of personnel's. A sample of 25 persons involving students of the University of Benin, Lectures in the same University, and several others from various telecommunication industries in the Ovia North East Local Government Area where used for this assessment. A questionnaire was the instrument for data collection. And the answers were analyzed through the inferential statistics method where the hypothesis where also tested. The findings of the study mostly reviewed that one major issue in the teaching and learning of Ethical Hacking and Cyber-Security is the lack of financial support, infrastructure, and resources to this field from the Government of any other Organisation. I recommend this study to various ICT Trainers and Ethical Hackers would like to extensively indulge in this field of study. This study serves as a medium to employ the Government to acknowledge the importance of Ethical Hacking and Cyber-Security, and to help in growing this field of enlightenmen.

The study investigated the influence of social media on the academic performance of students in tertiary institutions, using a sample of two hundred undergraduate students from the University of Benin. The aim was to explore how social media platforms affect students’ achievement, attitude, study habits, and access to learning materials, with attention to differences based on age, sex, and academic level. A descriptive survey design was used, and data were gathered through a structured questionnaire. The selected faculties represented humanities, life sciences, and technical fields, ensuring a fair representation. The research tool was validated by experts, and its reliability was confirmed using the Cronbach Alpha method, yielding a score of 0.832. Data analysis
was conducted using mean, standard deviation, and t-test at a 0.05 level of significance. Findings showed that students across academic levels believed that social media platforms such as WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook helped improve their learning experiences. Male and female students alike reported that social media tools supported their learning activities and helped them stay connected academically. The use of these platforms was also found to influence how students build study habits and gain access to educational materials. The results showed that while students generally viewed social media as helpful, their experiences varied based on age, gender, and level of study. This shows that social media plays a strong role in shaping the way students interact with academic content and carry out their studies

The study was designed to determine the effects of computer usage on academic achievements of secondary schools in Edo State. seven research question were raised to guild the research, one of the research questions were hypothesized. The study adopted a survey research method. A sample of One hundred (100) students (Uniben Demonstration secondary school and
Ekosodin secondary school) were selected as the sample for this survey from the above total number of secondary school student in Ovia north-east LGA. The instrument used in collection of data is a questionnaire. The data collected were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, T test, and ANOVA.
The result revealed that; computer usage has significant impact on academic achievements of secondary school students in Edo State. Based on the results, it was recommended that students should use time management techniques to allocate specific time blocks for studying. Consider techniques like the Pomodoro technique (25 minutes of focused study followed by a 5-minute break) to maintain concentration, also, they should outline their study objectives before beginning. Reliable sources include online libraries, academic databases, and educational websites. Be critical of the sources you use and ensure they are credible and Students should designate a clean, organized, and quiet space for studying. Ensure it is free from distractions and well-lit. If the above recommendations are strictly adhered to, there is likelihood that Nigerian students will begin to experience positive effect of computer usage on their academic
achievements and thus see learning of science as fun
