Abstract
The study examined the acquisition of Information and Communication technology (ICT)/as determinants of ICT Skills of library staff in Edo State libraries. The specific objectives of the study were aimed at examining the frequency of acquisition of ICT in libraries, frequency of use of ICT in libraries, various ICT tools acquired in libraries, perception of library staff towards the
acquisition of ICT, level of ICT skills of library staff as well as challenges encounter by the library staff in the use of ICT. Six research questions were raised for this study. The study adopted the descriptive survey research design. The population of the study was 135 respondents drawn from both national and public libraries in Edo state. The sample size for this study was 135 respondents and the total enumerative sampling technique was used. The instrument used for data collection was the
questionnaire. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics.
