Abstract
The main purpose of this study was to assess the influence of ICT literally skill on librarians willingness to use ICT. The methodology adopted for this study is the survey research approach, a technique characterized by collecting data through administering questionnaires to respondents. This method aimed to answer the research questions of this study. Accordingly, this approach was employed to explore the impact of information and communication technology (ICT) literacy on librarians' willingness to utilize ICT resources. This study conducted at John Harris Library, University of Benin, which meticulously examined the impact of information and communication technology (ICT) literacy on librarians' willingness to utilize ICT resources, yielded profound insights. The unanimous response from 118 participating librarians underscored that ICT literacy is a pivotal factor
influencing their readiness to embrace ICT in their professional milieu. It was delineated that specific competencies, such as the adeptness in digital information retrieval, proficiency in library management software, digital archiving skills, and familiarity with digital databases and e-journals, are quintessential in bolstering this willingness. Furthermore, the study highlighted the critical role of accessible ICT training and development opportunities in encouraging librarians towards ICT adoption.
