Abstract
This study's focus will be on the effect of local publishing on Nigeria's educational advancement. In particular, this study will look at how indigenous publishing supports the growth of Nigeria's educational system and how it can make education more accessible to the country's disadvantaged communities. The study will also look into indigenous publishers' struggles in Nigeria and how they affect the growth of education. The study will make use of qualitative research techniques like interviews with indigenous publishers, educators, and policymakers, as well as case studies and literature reviews. The Mindex publishing press in Ugbowo, Benin City, will be the sole subject of the study. The collection of data would be primarily concentrated on Nigeria's educational sector. Six research questions were raised for this study. The descriptive survey design approach was utilized in this research. A quality research design helped the researcher organize a study that will produce relevant data to the research issue. The purpose of this study's research design was to explore the indigenous publisher’s contribution to the development of the educational system. According to Tonwe (2007), Survey research has grown in popularity in recent years as a scientific method for assessing the influence and interdependence of social and psychological factors in specific groups. The population comprises of 100 workers at Mindex printing press Benin and 50 students at the University of Benin, for a total of 150 respondents to the survey.
